Ahmed Elmallah received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2006 and 2014, respectively. From 2006 to 2014, Ahmed was a staff engineer at Si-Ware Systems, Egypt, where he worked on designing high performance circuits and systems for interfacing MEMS inertial sensors. In 2014, Ahmed joined University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, where he is currently working toward his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. His research interest includes time of flight depth sensors, time to digital converters, timing circuits, and power management integrated circuits.
He received the Analog Devices Outstanding Student Designer Award (2016). He serves as a reviewer for the IEEE JOURNAL OF SOLID-STATE CIRCUITS and IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems.
